2022 Sea Games –

BEST enjoyed its best ever SEA Games results as its swimmers represented Thailand with some excellent performances in Vietnam. A huge thank you goes to Head Coach Xavier and Bank who put the BEST swimmers selected into the best shape of their lives for standout performances and personal best times for all of them. Xavier introduced a new training regime, all long course based supplemented by more gym work. The results speak for themselves. Timing is everything and the swimmers all performed when it mattered. Last time around at the SEA Games BEST swimmers managed three medals. On this occasion BEST swimmers brought home an extraordinary haul of 3 golds, 8 silvers, 5 bronzes and 4 National records.

Wine led the way. He won a magnificent silver medal and set a new Thailand National Record in the 200 fly with his first ever sub 1.59 of 158.93. This followed on from his 100 fly bronze medal and Thai National Record of 52.98.

Joy had her best ever SEA Games by a mile winning gold in the 50 fly and gold again in the 50 free. Her medal haul also included an eye catching silver medal in the 100 free from the outside lane and a silver in the 50 breaststroke. Hitting her peak form when needed Joy set a 50m free Thailand National Record of 25.12 and a 50 fly Record of 26.53.

BEST’s Kamonchanok (Noey) had an exceptional SEA Games for a 16 year old. She won a silver medal in the 400 free, silver medal in the 200 free and a bronze in the 200 fly. She secured a marvelous gold medal in the 400 IM. In all but one event, Noey smashed her personal best times.

Just swam to a fabulous silver medal with a Thailand Age Group National Record of 2.02.89.

A huge congratulations to Tar who swam a lifetime best in his first SEA Games in the 200 IM in 2.06.83. A big congratulations to Poon making her debut in the SEA Games at 16
